Howard Park Community School gives the highest importance to safeguarding and welfare of our children. The Governors, Headteacher, staff and volunteers will carry out their responsibilities efficiently, effectively and diligently to ensure that the school is a safe learning environment for our children.

At Howard Park Community School we pride ourselves on working closely with parents and carers for the benefit of our pupils and to keep them safe. We listen to our pupils and take seriously what they tell us. All school staff are trained in Child Protection and children are made aware of the adults they can talk to if they have any concerns. Staff are trained to look out for the signs of physical/emotional harm or neglect and are required to report these to the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).

The Designated Safeguarding Lead is Mr Pickles and can be contacted via email at: head@owardpark.co.uk. Mr Pickles is supported by three Deputy Designated Leads; Mrs Mollett, Mrs Galloway and Mrs Farrell. They can all be contacted via email at: office@howardpark.co.uk.

Mrs Mollett is also our Designated Person for Looked After Children.
