When planning our curriculum, Howard Park has considered the needs of our pupils and families. We want the learning to be meaningful and memorable so that our pupils are ready for the next step in their journey.  We believe that learning should provide memorable experiences that allow all pupils to thrive and achieve their potential.  School aims to provide a range of opportunities that allow children to open doors that they didn’t know existed.  The enriched curriculum and wider life of school provides the blocks that enables children to begin to discover who they are.  Collectively staff have produced the following word cloud that reflects what our curriculum should look like.

Our curriculum intent is underpinned by the National Curriculum.  Subject leaders have worked hard to think about putting learning into meaningful contexts that both reflect our local community and build upon the diverse experience of our children.  Units of work build upon each other as children progress through school.
